Farm Animal Services
Farm animal welfare can be improved with veterinary physiotherapy by reducing pain and increasing mobility. I’m experienced at improving both musculoskeletal and neurological conditions in a wide variety of farm animals. Affordable treatment can increase longevity, productivity and profitability, I can also provide preventative treatment options to help reduce potential future issues. Replacing stock will normally be far more costly than effective vet physio treatment. My common sense approach will benefit your pet sheep to prize winning bull.
Below is a summary of a standard 60 minute consultation.

Assessment
I observe your animal’s behavior and, if mobile, movement, while asking about their history. If appropriate I will palpate the animal to assess their musculoskeletal structure and joint movement. Together we will identify any issues.

Treatment
Treatment is bespoke to each animal and will be based on what they are comfortable with. This may be massage and stretches or a variety of treatment modalities including therapeutic ultrasound, laser therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field, kinesiology taping and TENs. Use of the additional treatments is based on the clinical need of each animal.

Rehabilitation
I work with you to develop a rehab plan to complete until the next visit. This could be massage and gentle joint mobilisation, through to adaptations to their living environment. I take into account your time, what is practical and your animal’s comfort. Every rehab plan is bespoke for your animal and situation.
